Melba Moore, is an American singer and actress. Her illustrious and timeless career began in the 1960s . She made her debut on broadway before becoming a solo recording artist which garnered her a grammy nomination for best new artist in 1971. Moore has released 28 albums and
was the first solo artist to perform a non-operatic concert at New York City's Metropolitan Opera House. Moore and her then-husband Clifton Davis hosted the 1972 variety series, "The Melba Moore-Clifton Davis Show." She also starred in the 1986 CBS comedy "Melba."She is a Tony Award winner & a 4x grammy nominee. Melba Moore received her well deserved star on the Hollywood walk of fame in 2023 .
